The yokai will act as a big part of the game, as you can collect them or get them via "gacha" methods, similar to games like Fire Emblem Heroes. You can also collect over 80 yokai to take into battle with you, three at a time. You'll need to draw symbols to bring on special finishing moves to blow your opponents away, which adds a nice little flourish to what could otherwise feel like a very typical hack and slash. Together, the three characters work to defeat the yokai and oni (read: demons) roaming about their world.
